Chef Orphée was born in Paris, France, where the art of pâtisserie is woven into the fabric of daily life. With his Parisian upbringing and education, Orphée envisioned a future that blended the elegance of French pâtisseries with the entrepreneurial spirit of innovation.

At just fifteen, Orphée began his culinary journey at Médéric Culinary School and Hospitality Management of Paris, apprenticing under Chef Cyril Gaidella, the Champion de France du Dessert winner. He further refined his craft under Laurent Bonneau, President of the Compagnons du Devoir, mastering the fundamentals of French baking and igniting his passion for the culinary arts.

A quadruple graduate in Hospitality and Culinary Arts, Orphée launched his career at the prestigious Palace Park Hyatt Paris Vendôme, later joining the legendary Palace Plaza Athénée under the Dorchester Collection. There, he worked alongside Christophe Michalak, World Pastry Champion, and Jean-Marie Hiblot, guided by Alain Ducasse, the world-renowned chef with a record number of Michelin stars. Ducasse’s emphasis on culinary excellence and innovation inspired Orphée to reach new heights in his craft.

This stellar foundation propelled Orphée to California at the age of twenty for the Grand Opening of Mademoiselle Colette, an upscale French pâtisserie café. As Chef-Partner overseeing Food and Beverage Operations and Development, he successfully established three Bay Area locations, bringing an authentic Parisian experience to life.

In 2018, Chef Orphée brought his expertise to Seattle, Washington, as Corporate Executive Chef for L’Experience Paris. Over six years, he spearheaded the launch of five new locations, including the ambitious independent kitchen at Microsoft Headquarters in 2023. With this chapter complete, Orphée turned his focus to his own brand, Mirabelle by Orphée, a French-inspired café-bakery located in the historic “Lowman & Hanford” Building at 616 1st Avenue in Pioneer Square. This iconic location, steeped in Seattle’s heritage, serves as the perfect backdrop for Mirabelle’s mission to invite customers to “Eat, drink, and celebrate like in Paris.” Mirabelle embodies Orphée’s vision of excellence, authenticity, and joie de vivre, offering a unique blend of French culinary artistry and warm hospitality.

Orphée has been a proud Chef-Academician at L’Académie Culinaire de France USA and Canada Delegation since 2024, passionately working to defend, enhance, and share French Culinary Art with the world. Previously, he served as Vice President of the board of France Education NorthWest - French-American Chamber of Commerce Seattle-PNW until early 2025.

Beyond the culinary world, Orphée has ventured into hospitality real estate in the Seattle area, developing a portfolio focused on offering unique, long-term stays. With a vision of ecological sustainability and French Art de Vivre, Orphée aspires to create a distinctive boutique hotel experience infused with elegance and heritage.
